Every girl loves dressing up and Spunkerella has just launched the best excuse to add a bit of glamour for a special occasion (or a trip to the shops) - Pettiflirt pettiskirts for teenage girls and adults.
Already running a successful business offering Spunkerella pettiskirts for babies and girls up to 12 years, owner Holly Moore didn’t want grown-up gals to miss out, so created an edgy range of full-swing pettiskirt designs just for them.
“Our Pettiflirt range was designed with older girls and adults in mind, creating rock ‘n’ roll glam everywhere they went in their pettiskirt,” Holly explained from her Melbourne base.
“Sometimes an occasion calls for something a bit edgier than the LBD and this is where the Pettiflirt range comes in. Described as a chameleon skirt, the combinations of looks are endless.
“You can go from having a sassy, playful appearance, all the way through to a stylish sophisticated elegance. However you wear your Pettiflirt, you are guaranteed to turn heads,” Holly explained.
Pettiflirt recently made its debut at the F.A.M.E. & Follies fashion, art, music and entertainment event at Port Macquarie last month. The theme was the 1950s, so the Pettiflirt played up to the show’s Rockabilly style perfectly.

So you’ve decided to buy the first pair of shoes for your bub?
You know it should be a fun trip to the shops but there are so many questions flying around your head…When is the right time? What is the correct type of shoe? Do I have to spend a fortune if they are going to outgrow them so quickly? What about soles?!!
Yes, it is probably the hardest item of clothing to choose but it is also the most important as feet are one of the most complex parts of the human body, with 26 bones, 33 joints and over 100 muscles and ligaments. They handle pressures of two times your body weight with each walking step. Given the average person walks over 160,000 kilometers in their lifetime, it is important to give our feet the respect they deserve—and the best start possible.
When most of us were growing up our mothers were told to buy us thick, sturdy lace up shoes with plenty of ankle support (in fact my mother is still trying to tell me this!). Thankfully, today studies show that barefoot is best for healthy foot devolvement and confining shoes with heels or arch supports can negatively affect the development of the foot and cause problems through to adulthood. Medical research has also shown that in countries were footwear is not used there is an almost total absence of foot problems as an adult.
Of course, barefoot is not always a practical option so here is a guide on what to look for when purchasing your bubs first shoe!

Suri (daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes) spent some time in Australia recently where her mum was filming her latest movie. Fashionista Katie took an interest in Australian Designer Kid’s fashion buying a number of pieces for Suri. Whilst they’ve since returned to the US Suri can still be seen wearing some of her Australian designer pieces. Pictured above with Tom at a park in Boston, where Tom is filming his new project, Suri is wearing a dress by Australian designer Polka Kids.
Polka Kids is a Queensland-based children’s design house, catering for babies aged 0-1 and boys and girls aged 2-8 years. This Summer they’ve chosen some brilliant bold and bright patterns.
