Product review:  Kukui Nut Oil– Booty Butter Tanning Lotion by BikiniKitchen

I must begin by saying that I am not a big fan of fake tans but I do use them regularly as I am even less of a fan of lily white legs!  So when I received a bottle of Booty Butter Tanning Lotion by BikiniKitchen.com I did think that it was going to be like any other fake tan on the market.  I decided to use it after my morning shower before heading off to work.  I was going to wear a skirt so my legs required a tan.

The cream itself is brown in colour, just like milk chocolate sauce, and it feels like you should be placing it on top of your desert rather than your legs but I found that it actually helped me see where I applied it and where it needed spreading.  The cream spreads easily and I found that having used one coat it glided on evenly.   But the best news is that it doesn’t have that fake tan smell!  The cream does have a slight coffee and nutty smell  but it is not unpleasant and about an hour later I realized that I didn’t smell anything any more, where as I always smell all the fake tans I have tried even after showering.  The cream is made from Hawaiian Kukui Nut Oil which speeds up the tanning  process, and Kona Coffee extract gives Booty Butter its mouth-watering  aroma.  It also includes Macadamia Nut Oil, light  mineral oil and Aloe Vera.
 
The cream states that the tan will develop within 1 hour and it definitely did that, my legs had a beautiful golden glow and I must admit I was surprised.  Normally, in the past, I have only managed to get that depth of colour with 2 coats plus.  Also,  I had no streaks or darker patches anywhere like I would normally  around the ankles and knees and I think that has a lot to do with the cream being very spreadable.
